Project Description
TEDxAcademy’s D-Alley on the occasion of this year’s theme “Our Best Self”, proposes a selection among some of the more daring and talented creative thinkers, of Greek origin. Distinguished individuals, that thrive in the world and vividly surprise us with their promising steps. Inviting them to be introduced through the exhibition Our best self in the world \ Focus on creativity, we aim to share with the TEDxAcademy audience, a brief insight into their innovative moments and therefore transmit the feeling of quality of their creative expression. They come from various parts of the world and from a wide variety of fields. Strongly proving the contemporary openness and wideness of the implementation of Design Thinking. Through short portrait presentations, showing selected samples of their more acclaimed projects, they tell us about what helps them trace new roads and explore unexpected tracks in their fields, frequently among strongly competitive environments. They also share with us a “teasing” thought on how a specific path, would or could further improve creativity in Greece and support a more fertile future.
In an era of “brain drain”, the “easiness to be productive in other places but not in Greece” etc, we may instead stand a moment and listen carefully to the knowledge earned elsewhere. By sharing the building of their Best Self in the world, our presented creatives hope
to inspire us to reflect upon positively building Ours. With daring innovative mind, generosity, openness, and an always challenging spirit towards the unknown.
