Choosing&nbsp;the&nbsp;challenging&nbsp;field&nbsp;of&nbsp;food and&nbsp;nutrition,&nbsp;our&nbsp;research was focused&nbsp;on&nbsp;the connection&nbsp;of&nbsp;food&nbsp;with&nbsp;promising&nbsp;future&nbsp;technologies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously&nbsp;and&nbsp;open-mindedly&nbsp;we re-approached the Greek food culture, proposing a number of design scenarios under the theme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"TEDxAcademy 2016 RE-IMAGINE GREECE\" width=\"620\" height=\"349\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CyUOQvmum90?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>RETASTE&nbsp;Greece&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;A&nbsp;food&nbsp;design&nbsp;future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;team&nbsp;of&nbsp;selected&nbsp;young&nbsp;product&nbsp;designers&nbsp;with experience&nbsp;gained&nbsp;through studies&nbsp;in&nbsp;universities,&nbsp; both&nbsp;in&nbsp;Greece&nbsp;and&nbsp;abroad,&nbsp;thoroughly&nbsp;elaborated the&nbsp;presented&nbsp;proposals in&nbsp;a&nbsp;series&nbsp;of&nbsp;intensive&nbsp;summer&nbsp;workshops. The&nbsp;showcased&nbsp;examples&nbsp;varied&nbsp;from apparatus&nbsp;for&nbsp;seasonally&nbsp;operated&nbsp;interactive&nbsp;tasting in&nbsp;restaurants&nbsp;to&nbsp;new&nbsp;herb-consuming&nbsp;ritual&nbsp;kits&nbsp;and from&nbsp;domestic&nbsp;superfood&nbsp;micro-factories&nbsp;to&nbsp;environments&nbsp;of&nbsp;alternatively experiencing&nbsp;food&nbsp;in&nbsp;public.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;project&nbsp;which&nbsp;effectively&nbsp;mixes&nbsp;interactive&nbsp;micro farming&nbsp; with&nbsp;augmented&nbsp;reality&nbsp;devices&nbsp;in&nbsp;an&nbsp;open-source&nbsp;cultivation platform,&nbsp;was&nbsp;also&nbsp;presented.
